Prateek Shrestha joined NLR in January 2022 and works in software development, fieldwork and lab-based research. Shrestha’s areas of research include indoor air quality; ambient air quality and meteorological monitoring; building energy and multizonal airflow network modeling; building electrical load monitoring; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; characterization of advanced window glazing and high thermal mass wall systems; and use of 3D computer-aided design and advanced visualization techniques. Shrestha is originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, and enjoys hiking, biking, amateur astronomy, drones, DIY IoT and robotics projects.
