Abstract

The Wind Energy with Integrated Servo-control (WEIS) toolset provides the offshore wind industry and research communities with an open-source, user-friendly, and flexible toolset to enable control co-design (CCD) of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs). The tool generates system-optimal solutions to solve the design problems of the FOWT industry, leading to new performance levels and ultimately reducing the cost of energy.
