Abstract

By joining the Motor Challenge Showcase Demonstration project team, Peabody Holdings Company, the nation's largest coal producer, was able to save $5,000 annually at one of its preparation plants. Other stories in this issue focus on the growing number of Motor Challenge's Allied Partners (which recently surpassed 75) and some of their recent activities promoting motor efficiency improvement, aswell as the recent series of five-city performance optimization workshops and the many new products now available from the Motor Challenge Information Clearinghouse, including the 'Motor Challenge Sourcebook.'
