Abstract
This issue of the DOE Office of Industrial Technologies' quarterly newsletter focuses on 'Motor Challenge '95: Gaining the Competitive Edge, ' a national conference held in Chicago in September 1995 for more than 200 U.S. manufacturers. The core message of the conference: the potential for improved plant performance and reduced energy costs is a strong lure for manufacturers to incorporateenergy-efficient technologies -- and it pays to upgrade systems now.
