Abstract
This fact sheet explains how a special sun-absorbing wall?also called a transpired solar collector?can be used to heat outside fresh air before it enters a building's ventilation system. Solar ventilation preheating reduces annual heating costs, requires virtually no maintenance, and improves indoor air quality, adding to the safety and comfort of occupants.
