Abstract
The United States is expanding its capacity to mine and process critical minerals - and manufacture them into energy and electronic materials - to support the economy and national security. An applied science organization, the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) is building a scale-up engine to power this growth. Leveraging applied research, scale-up facilities, engagement with industry, and university partnerships, NLR is working to scale and de-risk the critical minerals capacity for the United States.
