Abstract
The National Photovoltaic (PV) Program, a joint effort of DOE, the national laboratories, and the U.S. PV industry, had exciting advances and significant accomplishments in fiscal year 1995. As this booklet explains, the effort entailed collaborative work in three different areas: (1) research and development (R&D) activities on thin films, crystalline silicon, and advanced high-efficiencymaterials and devices; (2) technology development activities that apply these R&D innovations to tomorrow's commercial PV products and systems; and (3) systems engineering and applications activities that address design issues, measure the performance of emerging prototype technologies, and develop standards and certification programs.
