Abstract
Because infrastructure needed to recharge electric vehicles is as important as the vehicles and batteries, charging facilities should be convenient to install and use and be available at reasonable prices to serve the growing numbers of electric vehicles. This brochure describes the performance and economics of the Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program, a five-year effort in the greater Bostonarea to develop and test a network of charging stations for commuter vehicles.
