Abstract
Transparent and reflecting electrodes are important parts of the structure of amorphous silicon solar cells. We report improved methods for depositing zinc oxide deposition of tin nitride as a potential reflection-enhancing diffusion barrier between the a-Si and back metal reflector, and evaluation of titanium oxide to protect electrodes. Future work will concentrate on increasing thetransparency of the TiO2 and depositing microcrystalline Si p-layers on it, so that the cell efficiencies may be increased.
