Abstract
Transportation modeling is a critical part of the effort to understand the future of mobility. Traditional methods for performing this modeling have required heavy investment in development and computing resources.However, refining the approach to focus on the specifics of the questions being asked and considering the relative uncertainty of the assumptions can lead to much more focused approaches, helping to answer relevant questions with much less modeling overhead. This project is a scoping study to look at questions, options, and methods for creating a minimum viable model (MVM) necessary to answer transportation modeling questions.
