Abstract

We demonstrate layer-engineered crossover of relaxation pathways from fast exciton-exciton annihilation in monolayer to slow phonon bottleneck in few-layer MoS2. Our study reveals new, layer degree of freedom to tune ultrafast dynamics in optoelectronic applications.
