Abstract

Buildings account for 30% of greenhouse gas emissions in the US. In order to aid in better decisions that reduce emissions from building operations, accurate emissions accounting is important. This fact sheet reviews existing operational GHG emission accounting approaches, frameworks, and data sources and provides recommendations while using an emissions accounting framework.
