Factors Associated with Photovoltaic System Costs (Topical Issues Brief)

Abstract

A variety of factors can affect the cost of photovoltaic systems. This report analyses the relationship among such factors by using information entered into a voluntary registry of PV systems and performing regression analyses. The results showed statistically significant relationships between photovoltaic system cost and (a) grid connection, (b) installation year, (c) areas where the utility hadentered into volume purchasing agreements.
