Abstract
Advanced lightweighting materials help provide affordable, efficient, and clean advanced light-duty vehicles. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory worked with the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. DRIVE Material Tech Team to help estimate the lightweighting cost targets needed to achieve low-cost energy and emission benefits.
