Abstract

Orientational domain twins that are periodically stacked in the growth direction are frequently observed in spontaneously ordered GaInP₂ alloys grown under special conditions. We present experimental evidence showing that the electronic and optical properties of such structures are altered from those of the uniform Cu-Pt ordered alloy.
