Abstract
Light induced electron transfer at Ru(bpy)2(dcb)2+ (where bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine and dcb is 4,4'-(COOH)2-bpy) nanocrystalline anatase TiO2 interfaces are presented. Molecular electron transfer processes have been quantified by time resolved spectroscopic methods and correlated with the photoelectrochemical properties of regenerative solar cells based on these same materials. Related sensitizersfrom the literature are also highlighted and discussed.
