Camp George West: A Brief History of How this Historic Location Continues to Serve Our Nation

    Research output: NLRBrochure

    Abstract

Camp George West was a Colorado National Guard training facility and the site of numerous public works projects. Later, it became a correctional center. In January 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy took possession of a section of Camp George West. The campus will be called upon again to help usher in a clean energy future for our country, one of the most critical issues of our time. The new South Table Mountain Energy Park (STEP) will be converted into a technological hub and house startups, entrepreneurs, and new innovations to move the latest renewable energy research and products closer to commercialization.
