abstract = "The convergence of automation, vehicle sharing, and electrification technologies, and their associated subsystems and infrastructure, are addressed as a {"}system of systems{"} in this presentation. The Automated Mobility District (AMD) research program at the National Laboratory of the Rockies encompasses multiple fleets of AV technology deployments comprising multiple mobility {"}modes{"} operating as an integrated network. As automated vehicle technology begins to scale, the associated complexities of battery-electric vehicle charging requirements, station/pick-up and drop-of zone configurations, and critical infromation exchanges with municipal authorities further complicate the AMD operations environment. This presentation benchmarks current AV mobility service deployment in the US, assess critical sub-systems spanning refueling, dispatch, and data exchange, and then projects continued scaling based on observed growth rates.",
