Stuart Cohen is a senior researcher with the Capacity Expansion & Electricity Markets Group in the Grid Planning and Analysis Center and acts as the NLR hydropower subprogram manager. His research includes a range of data development, modeling, analysis, and tool creation activities to study interactions between earth systems, water, electricity, and the economy. Cohen's projects often focus around power sector planning and operations, using tools like the ReEDS electric sector capacity expansion model. His projects and role as hydropower subprogram manager aim to advance the role of hydropower and pumped storage hydropower in the grid and build NLR's capabilities to best support the hydropower industry.
