Rimple Sandhu is a staff scientist in the Computational Science Center where he works on physics-aware and uncertainty-aware machine learning (ML) methods applied to energy, transportation, and ecology. His research sits at the intersection of scientific computing and modern ML – developing tools that are both physically grounded and statistically rigorous. Lately, his work has expanded toward energy-efficient artificial intelligence (AI): reservoir computing, biological computing, and other brain-inspired paradigms that aim to do more with less – computationally and data-wise.
