Overview
Personal Profile
Nikita Dutta’s research focuses on applying cryogenic and in situ scanning transmission electron microscopy (S/TEM) methods to study structural evolution and degradation in energy materials. She specializes in developing and applying techniques to characterize beam-sensitive materials for a variety of applications, including halide perovskites, battery materials, and polymers. She has a particular interest in methods to study dynamic local structures and chemistry in these materials under conditions relevant to device operation, with the ultimate goal of linking nanoscale structural evolution to device performance.
