Manar Alherech's interests focus on the application of liquid-liquid chromatographic techniques, specifically centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) and countercurrent chromatography, to the isolation of valuable compounds. Alherech's doctoral work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on the recovery of monomers from oxidatively depolymerized poplar lignin using CPC. He also has industrial experience isolating various cannabinoids using CPC through his work at Gilson Inc. as an applications scientist. Additionally, he has an interest in nuclear magnetic resonance characterization and programming models for liquid-liquid chromatographic separations.
