Overview
Personal Profile
Lixi Liu is an applied science researcher in building and energy modeling. Liu first joined the Building Technologies and Science Center in 2019 and works to advance energy affordability, comfort, and resilience by expanding the modeling capability for buildings and, increasingly, the nexus between building and power system as a developer of BuildStock, dsgrid, and other tools. She also applies the research to improve decision-making for consumers, program designers, and other stakeholders. Her prior research experience includes equipment replacement schedule optimization, smart meter load disaggregation, and life cycle assessment of rare-earth metal recovery from commercial lighting.
