Laura Dempsey is a researcher in the National Wind Technology Center. She contributes to the Environmental Portfolio focusing on wind energy and wildlife interactions through the ECO wind and IEA Wind Task 34 (WREN) programs. Her work covers topics such as mitigation measures, avian monitoring, and remote sensing. Prior to joining NLR Dempsey received her M.S. in wildlife and conservation biology from North Carolina State University. She also worked for the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Western Ecosystems Technology.
