Kaitlin Brunik’s research concentrates on hybrid energy systems and their integration into utility-scale grids, with a focus on offshore wind-to-hydrogen systems. They have developed models for hybrid plant design and optimization in the Hybrid Optimization Performance Platform (HOPP). Additionally, Brunik has been actively involved in industrial decarbonization efforts, notably working on innovative projects related to green steel and ammonia production.
