Overview
Personal Profile
Jonathan Martin is a systems engineer who specializes in the design and cost optimization of hybrid energy systems. He is a key contributor to NLR’s H2Integrate (H2I) tool. H2I optimizes the storage of energy from intermittent sources to achieve high-capacity domestic output of products such as iron/steel, ammonia, methanol, and geologic hydrogen. He also leads practical de-risking projects for commercial systems, such as a 48-hour backup city power system (p. 13) that was tested at NLR before being installed. He also conducts experimental work on critical materials manufacturing and degradation at NLR’s High Flux Solar Furnace.
