A hydrogen infrastructure research engineer, Daniel Leighton leads the hydrogen infrastructure and end-use team in NLR’s Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences. He also serves as the lead engineer overseeing two key projects—the building of an integrated, megawatt-scale hydrogen electrolysis, compression, energy storage, and fuel cell system at NLR’s Flatirons campus and the upgrade of the hydrogen fueling station at NLR’s Hydrogen Infrastructure Testing and Research Facility to accommodate medium- and heavy-duty fuel cell vehicles.
