Conor Dennehy is a research engineer at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) Alaska Campus in Fairbanks, specializing in high-performance building projects through energy analysis, mechanical system design, and workforce support. His research focuses on cold climate appropriate technologies, especially heat pump and ventilation systems, and he applies research findings to deliver actionable technical assistance for circumpolar and tribal stakeholders. Additionally, Dennehy serves as program manager for NLR’s Weatherization Assistance Program, overseeing technical and programmatic support for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE’s) Weatherization Assistance Program. In this role, he advances DOE objectives to reduce energy costs for low income households by improving residential energy efficiency while ensuring adequate health and safety is maintained.
