Andrew Norman joined NLR in 1997 to study lateral modulations and atomic ordering in III-V superlattices and alloys. He also worked with NLR's III-V team to study III-V and other semiconductor alloys for multi-junction solar cells.  Since becoming permanently employed in 2000, he has pursued research into a wide range of topics, including colloidal and epitaxial quantum dots, III-V metamorphic multi-junction solar cells, novel epitaxial relationships, solid-state lighting materials, single junction Si and Si-based tandem cells, thin-film PV materials, 2D materials, II-IV-V and II-V alloys, device degradation, battery materials, wide band gap materials, and catalysts.
