Amanda Farthing is a research engineer in the Accelerated Deployment and Decision Support Center. She specializes in technoeconomic modeling of distributed energy resources and microgrids. At NLR, she develops and deploys REopt®–a distributed energy resources optimization platform–to support federal agencies, international organizations, communities, and others in achieving their energy, resilience, and cost savings goals.
